We love how Portfolio Center integrates with just about every application in our office. We used to use Advent Axys and it had no integrations (they still don't). We were going to look elsewhere about a year ago, but Schwab has appeared to be really putting a lot into development and we like what we see! We'll continue to use them.

Pros:
  • Excellent support and the program does exactly what it is supposed to.
Cons:
  • Reporting has lacked in "prettiness" up until their latest version, which we are still getting used to. Seems there are a lot more options now. Every once in Portfolio Center can run a little slow too, if multiple users are in it.
Best For What Type of Firm:
  • Any, I think.
Final Say:
  • Great program for a solid price. Excellent customer support.

We're very happy with Redtail. They constantly are improving their software for the better and I love the fact that it is online as well. We have been able to successfully integrate Redtail with other applications we use in the office too, which is a huge bonus!

Cons:
  • Sometimes their site can be slow, but it is much better than it used to be.
